The cryptography group at Bar-Ilan University carries out research on a wide range of topics in theoretical and applied cryptography. Much of our research is focused on the feasibility and efficiency of secure computation. The former question asks what cryptographic tasks can be realized and under what assumptions, and is related to the theoretical foundations of cryptography. The focus of the latter question is the construction of efficient cryptographic schemes and protocols that have rigorous proofs of security and correctness.

The research group is led by Professors Yehuda Lindell and Benny Pinkas who focus mainly on cryptography, and Professor Amir Herzberg who focuses mainly on computer security.
