    CV

Dr. Nof completed his PhD in Computer Science at Bar-Ilan University (2019) as a President's Scholar, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Technion. In 2022 he joined the Bar-Ilan faculty, where he maintains research collaborations with leading international groups and commercial companies in the blockchain privacy space. During his PhD he published a landmark paper on high-throughput secure distributed computation, which received the Best Paper Award at ACM CCS — one of the most prestigious conferences in cybersecurity worldwide.

Applied Cryptography and Secure Distributed Computation

When companies, hospitals, or governments want to collaborate on sensitive data, each party seeks to contribute to a shared pool without exposing its own information to others. Can parties compute together without anyone seeing the other's "cards"? Dr. Ariel Nof develops cryptographic protocols that enable exactly that — collaboration on encrypted data, while handling "internal adversaries" who attempt to extract private information or disrupt the computation. His research balances provable mathematical security with high computational efficiency, enabling deployment in complex real-world systems.

    Key Research Areas:

    • Secure Multiparty Computation
